Welcome to JanC Beads - Experienced glass beadmaker for over 20 years

Site will be up graded in the near future.

Thanks for looking

Each bead is handmade using a process called lampwork.

Effetre (murano) glass rods are heated in a LPG/Oxygen flame to a molten state and wound onto a steel rod, using heat and gravity a bead is formed.

It is a labor-intensive method demanding concentration and skill. All beads are kiln annealed to give strength to the glass.
